Oil Pump Assemble
Note:
* There are no serviceable components within the oil pump. Disassemble the pump only to diagnose an oiling concern. A disassembled oil pump must be replaced. DO NOT reuse a disassembled oil pump or a serviceable oil pump with a primary camshaft drive chain lower guide that needs to be replaced.
* The primary camshaft drive chain lower guide is not a serviceable component. If the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide must be replaced, the oil pump must be replaced.
1. The dimpled surface must be face-up in the pump body.
2. Install the inner oil pump drive gear (1) and the outer oil pump driven gear (2) in the pump cover in the same orientation as removed.
3. Install the oil pump cover (2) to the oil pump housing (3).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
4. Install the oil pump cover to oil pump housing retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
Note: The primary camshaft drive chain lower guide is not a serviceable component. If the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide is to be reused, the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide is not to be removed from the oil pump cover. If the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide must be replaced, the oil pump must be replaced.
5. Install the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide (2).
6. Install the primary camshaft drive chain lower guide to oil pump retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb in).
