Intake Manifold Assemble

Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure




1. Install the fuel injector rail (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the fuel injector rail to lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten fuel injector rail bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness (1).

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure




1. Install the engine cover ball studs (1) and tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb in).




2. Install the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) flap (1).
3. Install the IMRC flap to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the NEW throttle body gasket (3) to the intake manifold (4).
5. Install the throttle body (2).
6. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





Note: DO NOT reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets (1).




2. Install the upper intake manifold (1) to the lower intake manifold (2).




3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket to upper intake manifold retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).
