Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Remove the ignition coil harness connector from the ignition coil.
5. Remove the ignition coil to camshaft cover retaining bolts (1).
6. Remove the ignition coils (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the ignition coil (2) to the engine.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the ignition coil to camshaft cover retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the ignition coil harness connector to the ignition coil.
4. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
