Front Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring Harness Replacement (Left)

Removal Procedure





Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.


Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).

Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning (Brake Dust Warning).

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the left hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).




5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
6. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (4).
7. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the front strut mounting bracket (2).

Note: Note the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3).

8. Remove the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Note: Make sure the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) is secured and routed in its original location.

1. Install the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) to the vehicle.
2. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the front strut mounting bracket (2).
3. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) to the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (4).
4. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
5. Install the left hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
8. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Use the scan tool in order to clear any DTCs.
10. Perform the System Check - Vehicle. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview).
