Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

J 41712 Oil Pressure Sensor Socket

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the left hand engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (1).





Note: A small amount of oil will drain out of the oil filter housing when the oil pressure sensor is removed. Use a shop towel to absorb the oil.

4. Use the J 41712 in order to remove the oil pressure sensor (1).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Use the J 41712 in order to install the oil pressure sensor (1) and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




2. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
3. Install the left hand engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
