Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).


Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the Y-Link. Refer to Trailing Arm Replacement (Trailing Arm Replacement).





Note: It is recommended to observe the orientation and depth of the Y-Link bushing (2) with reference to the original position. Adhering to this recommendation will minimize the potential of incorrect Y-Link bushing (2) installation.

3. Remove the Y-Link bushing (2) from the Y-Link (3) using the KM-906-B (1, 4).
4. Inspect all parts for wear and damage.

Installation Procedure





Note: Before installing, the Y-Link bushing (2) must be correctly aligned and orientated.

1. Install the Y-Link (2) bushing to the Y-Link (3) using the KM-906-B 9 (1, 4).
2. Install the Y-Link (3). Refer to Trailing Arm Replacement (Trailing Arm Replacement).
3. Remove the safety stands.
4. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
