Hydraulic Clutch Hose/Pipe Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Battery Disconnect Warning).
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
Warning: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning (Brake Fluid Irritant Warning).
Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution (Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution).
Note: Do not fully remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
3. Release the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
4. Disconnect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the transmission assembly.
Important: The hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2) is located at the top of the bulk head.
7. Detach the clutch hose/pipe (2) securing clip (1), from the bulk head by squeezing both clip tangs together.
8. Remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2).
Note: The hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2) is located at the top of the bulk head.
2. Attach the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe securing clip (1), to the bulk head, ensuring that both retaining tangs are correctly engaged in the body.
3. Install the transmission assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
Note: Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.
Note: Inspect clutch pipe seals for any damage, replace pipe if seals are damaged.
5. Connect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) to the clutch master cylinder (2).
6. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding (Service and Repair).
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
9. Road test vehicle for correct clutch operation.
