Sunshade Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Detach the sunshade assembly (2) from the sunshade support (1) and rotate to gain access.
2. Remove the retaining screw (3) attaching the sunshade assembly to the head lining assembly.




3. Pull the sunshade assembly (2) away from the roof lining assembly and disconnect the sun shade assembly electrical connection (1).
4. Remove the sunshade assembly (2). The right side is shown, the left side is the same.





Note: Take care not to loose the sunshade support retaining mechanism and spring.

5. Remove the retaining pin (1) attaching the sunshade support (2) to the sunshade retainer.
6. Remove the sunshade support.

Installation Procedure





Note: When installing the sunshade, ensure the pivot line is vertical.

1. Install the sunshade support (2) by inserting the sunshade support retaining pin (1).




2. Connect the sun shade assembly (2) electrical connector (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Rotate the sunshade assembly (2) and install it into the sunshade support (1) and tighten to 2.0 Nm (18 lb in).
4. Install the sunshade assembly (2) into the sunshade support (1).
5. Test sunshade for correct operation.
