Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal - Right Side




1. Remove the spark plug leads (1).





Note: Do not remove the oil fill tube from the cover, unless service is required. If the oil fill tube has been removed from the cover, install a NEW tube during assembly.

2. Remove the ignition coil bracket retaining studs (2).
3. Remove the ignition coil and bracket assembly (1).




4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover retaining bolts (2) and valve rocker arm cover (1).
5. Remove and discard the valve rocker arm cover gasket, valve rocker arm cover grommets and valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.





Note: The valve rocker arm cover gasket is a single use only component and must be replaced whenever the valve rocker arm cover is removed from the cylinder head.

6. Remove the valve rocker arm cover gasket (1).
Discard the valve rocker arm cover gasket (1).
