Oil Pump, Screen and Crankshaft Oil Deflector Removal
1. Remove the oil pump screen and tube assembly to oil pump retaining bolt (1).
2. Remove the oil pump screen and tube assembly to crankshaft oil deflector retaining nut (4).
3. Remove the oil pump screen and tube assembly (3) from the oil pump (2).
Important: The oil pump screen and tube assembly O-ring seal (1) is a single use only component and must be replaced whenever the oil pump screen and tube assembly (2) is removed.
4. Remove the oil pump screen and tube assembly O-ring seal (1) from the oil pump screen and tube assembly (2).
Discard the oil pump screen and tube assembly O-ring seal (1).
5. Remove the remaining crankshaft oil deflector retaining nuts (2).
6. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector (1).
7. Remove the oil pump bolt (1).
Important: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the oil pump, cap the ends as necessary.
8. Remove the oil pump (2).
9. Clean and inspect the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Cleaning and Inspection (Overhaul).
