Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement - Right Side (V8)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (Service and Repair).




Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning (Service Precautions).

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning (Protective Goggles and Glove Warning).

3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield to exhaust manifold retaining bolts (2).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1) from the exhaust manifold.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the exhaust manifold heat shield (1) to the exhaust manifold.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution) in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield to exhaust manifold retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
