Repeater Lamp Bulb Replacement (Side Indicator)
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Battery Disconnect Warning).
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
2. Remove side indicator lamp assembly from the fender by grasping the assembly and pushing the assembly forward to disengage the rear clip from the fender.
3. Tilt the rear of the side indicator lamp assembly out and remove the assembly from the front fender.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb socket, by depressing the connector clip and pulling connector from bulb socket.
5. Disconnect the bulb socket from the side indicator lamp assembly by rotating the socket counterclockwise.
6. Remove the side indicator bulb from the bulb socket.
Installation Procedure
1. Install a new side indicator bulb to the bulb socket.
2. Connect electrical connector to the bulb socket, note orientation of the electrical connector.
Note: The tabs on the bulb base and mating cut-outs in the lamp assembly allow the bulb to seat correctly in the lamp.
3. Install the bulb socket into the side indicator lamp assembly and rotate the socket clockwise to secure the bulb and socket.
4. Install rear portion of the side indicator lamp assembly into the fender and then push the front of the lamp assembly inwards to engage the front clip.
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Battery Disconnect Warning).
5. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
6. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
