PCV Valve Hose: Service and Repair




Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).

Important: In the following service procedure, it maybe necessary to remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) valve assembly to gain access to the positive crankcase ventilation hose.


2. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge valve (5). Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the EVAP pipes (1) and (2).
4. Remove the EVAP pipe (3) from the air intake duct (6) and the valve cover.
5. Remove the hose (4) from the throttle body (7) and the engine valley cover.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hose (4) from the throttle body (7) and the engine valley cover.
2. Install the EVAP pipe (3) from the air intake duct (6) and the valve cover.
3. Install the evaporative emission canister purge valve (5). Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the EVAP pipes (1) and (2).
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
