Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Using the ball joint lock nut wrench (22 mm), remove the ventilation valve (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Apply adhesive (1) to 2 or 3 threads of the ventilation valve.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution)

2. Using the ball joint lock nut wrench (22 mm), install the ventilation valve (1) and tighten.

* Without a ball joint lock nut wrench to 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
* With a ball joint lock nut wrench to 10 Nm (7 lb ft)

3. Install intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Service and Repair).
