Replacing outer rubber seal for rear door
Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
1. Unclip window frame cover -1- with a plastic wedge, starting at the top.

2. Mark the position of the rubber seal in the lower area with adhesive strips.
3. Pull rubber seal off the door.

Information
- Immediately before sticking on, wash off the areas on which you intend to stick the seal using isopropanol to ensure that all traces of silicone, grease and oil are completely removed.
4. Fit new rubber seal -2-.
Installing new rubber seal
4.1. Fit new rubber seal -2- with the vulcanisation point -3- centred between the top and bottom door hinge at the front. The air vents in the rubber seal must be facing outwards.
4.2. Position the rubber seal on the sheetmetal flange and on the adhesive strips all the way around.
4.3. Pull out protective film from under the seal.
4.4. Press rubber seal onto the sheetmetal flange using a press-on roller and => Pressing force: 40 N.
5. Remove adhesive strips.
6. Fit window frame cover at the front and rear between the door panel and window frame, then clip it into the window guide -1-.
