Horn

Fault symptom
Horn sounds continuously.

Action
1 Check the horn
Disconnect the horn.
Connect the test lamp to the 1 pin horn connector (with red lead) and BPV.
If the lamp lights, proceed to point 2.
If not, change the horn.

2 Check the horn grounding
Conduct a continuity test between the 1 pin horn connector (with the black lead) and the alarm control module, pin 11.
Also measure the resistance to resistance ground.
The resistance should be < 1 Ohm.
If the resistance is incorrect, take action on the cable assembly.
If the resistance is correct, proceed to point 3.

3 Final test
Check to see if the fault symptom remains. If the problem remains, proceed to Before Control Module Replacement.
