Front Manifold

NOTE: Step numbers below refer to numbers used in the illustrations.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the oxygen sensors' cables, undo the cable clamps and the clips and lift up the car.
2. Undo the catalytic converter joint, unscrew the nuts between the exhaust manifolds and the front exhaust pipe and lower the pipe.

NOTE: There are seals between the exhaust manifolds and the front exhaust pipe.

3. Lower the car and remove the oil dipstick.
4. Remove the heat shield and undo the nuts on the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold with its seals.





INSTALLATION
1. Clean the surfaces and install the exhaust manifold with a new seal, then tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the heat shield and install the oil dipstick.
- Lift up the car.
3. Insert the front exhaust pipe and screw it on to the exhaust manifolds.
- Use new seals, then tighten to: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Screw the joint under the car together, then tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
- Lower the car.
5. Reconnect the oxygen sensors cables and install the cable clamps and the clips.
