Rear Manifold






NOTE: Step numbers below refer to numbers used in the illustrations.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery's negative cable, disconnect the oxygen sensors cables, undo the cable clamps and the clips and lift up the car.
2. Unscrew the nuts between the exhaust manifolds and the front exhaust pipe and lower the pipe.

NOTE: There are seals between the exhaust manifolds and the front pipe.

3. Lower the car and undo the upper screws on the exhaust manifolds.
4. Lift up the car and remove the lower nuts.
- Remove the exhaust manifold with its seals.

WARNING: There might be sharp edges on the heat shield.





INSTALLATION
1. Clean the surfaces and install the exhaust manifold with new seals, then tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Insert the front exhaust pipe and screw it on to the exhaust manifolds.
- Use new seals, then tighten to: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Screw the joint under the car together, then tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
- Lower the car.
4. Reconnect the oxygen sensors cables and install the cable clamps and the clips.
