CHECK GEARBOX Warning Lamp
Fault symptoms
The lamp does not go on or is on constantly. Note that the CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp undergoes a function test for 3 seconds when the Ignition key is turned to the ON position.





Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the lamp
- Connect a diagnostic tool.
- Select "Activate"
- Select "Check gearbox lamp".

Does the lamp work?

YES
Rectify the relevant lead and continue with step 2.

NO
Change the bulb, see Changing but and continue with step 2.

2 Final check
- Clear all diagnostic trouble codes in the system.
^ Perform a check of functionality.

All OK?

YES
The steps taken to rectify the fault were correct.

NO
Continue with Before changing a control module,
