Engine Torque Strut: Service and Repair
Torque Arm, Front
To remove
1. Raise the car
2. Remove the bolt on the torque arm.
3. Undo the bolts on the gearbox bracket so that the rear torque arm bolt can be removed.
4. Lift out the torque arm.
To fit
1. Position the torque arm with through bolts.
2. Tighten the bolts on the gearbox bracket.
Tightening torque 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.)
3. Tighten the through bolt on the subframe.
Tightening torque 121 Nm (90 ft. lbs.)
4. Tighten the bolt securing the torque arm to the bracket.
Tightening torque 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.)
