Seatbelt Warning Lamp. Open Circuit / Short to Ground







Fault symptoms
A short-circuit to B+ gives the symptom that the seat belt warning lamp does not light.

An open-circuit/short-circuit to ground gives the symptom that the seat belt warning lamp lights irrespective of the buckle lock contact.

Conditions
No diagnostic trouble code is generated for voltages under 11 V and during diagnostic communication.

The control module output can be activated with the diagnostic tool.
