Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

Rear Gate Lock:

REMOVAL

Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
Remove the rear gate trim.
Remove three bolts.







Disconnect the connectors, and then remove the rear gate latch assembly.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Make sure the lock works properly after installation.

INSPECTION

Make sure the outer handle and rear gate assembly is not deformed.
Make sure the outer handle and cable work smoothly.
