Fuel Door Release Cable: Service and Repair

FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSY

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSY




a. Remove the screw.
b. Remove the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in the illustration.
c. Remove the cable.

2. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the front seat LH.
b. Remove the rear seat LH.
c. Remove the scuff plate LH.
d. Remove the seat belt floor anchor side LH.
e. Remove the side trim board.
f. Remove the floor mat.

HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the floor mat. Partially remove it so that the cable can be removed in step (g).




g. Remove the cable from the clamps as shown in the illustration.




h. Disengage the claw and remove the cable.

3. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER




a. Remove the lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

4. INSTALL FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER




a. Install the lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSY




a. Install the cable and turn it counterclockwise, as shown in the illustration.




b. Install the cable to the clamps as shown in the illustration.
c. Install the floor mat.
d. Install the side trim board.
e. Install the seat belt floor anchor side LH.
f. Install the scuff plate LH.
g. Install the rear seat LH.
h. Install the front seat LH.

6. INSTALL FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSY




a. Install the cable.
b. Install the cover in the direction indicated by white arrow mark in the illustration.
c. Install the screw.
