The TCM monitors its internal operation and it stores this DTC when it detects an internal malfunction.

The TCM monitors its internal operation. If there is a problem in its internal operation, the TCM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
- There is a possibility that the DTC P062F is issued from the ECUs of the ECM and TCM. Use Techstream to conduct a health check to confirm which ECU the DTC is issued from and then inspect the related system.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P062F)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(e) Turn the engine switch off and turn the Techstream off.

(f) Disconnect the Techstream.

(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(i) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(j) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(k) Turn the Techstream on.

(l) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

(m) Read the DTCs using the Techstream.
