CVTF Cooler Pipe and HoseREMOVAL
CAUTION:
^ Immediately after the vehicle has been running or after idling for a long time, the CVTF will be hot. Be careful not to burn yourself.
^ If the CVTF is spilt over exhaust pipe, wipe it off with cloth to avoid emitting smoke or causing a fire.
^ When removing the CVTF cooler pipe assembly on vehicle side, be careful not to bend the A/C pipe.
1) Lift up the vehicle.
2) Remove the under cover.
3) Remove the CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.
4) Remove the CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose on radiator side.
CAUTION:
Do not use a screwdriver or other pointed tools.
5) Lower the vehicle.
6) Remove the battery.
7) Remove the battery cable clip from the bracket, and remove the battery cable bracket.
8) Remove the engine coolant reservoir tank.
9) Remove the CVTF cooler pipe assembly mounting bolt.
10) Detach the A/C pipe from clip.
11) Remove the CVTF cooler pipe assembly from the vehicle.
12) Remove the following harness connectors.
^ Transmission harness connectors
^ Inhibitor harness connector
^ Transmission radio ground terminal
13) Remove the adapter harness connector from the transmission hanger.
14) Remove the air breather hose from the transmission hanger, and remove the transmission hanger and the transmission radio ground cord.
15) Remove the transmission case cover.
16) Remove the CVTF cooler pipe COMPL from the transmission body.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
When installing the CVTF cooler pipe assembly on vehicle side, be careful not to bend the A/C pipe.
1) Temporarily install the CVTF cooler pipe COMPL, transmission hanger and transmission radio ground cord to the transmission.
NOTE:
Use a new gasket.
2) Tighten the union screws and bolts in the order of (A) to (B) to (C).
Tightening torque:
T1: 35 Nm (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)
T2: 40 Nm (4.1 kgf-m, 29.5 ft-lb)
T3: 41 Nm (4.2 kgf-m, 30.2 ft-lb)
3) Install the transmission case cover.
Tightening torque:
8 Nm (0.8 kgf-m, 5.9 ft-lb)
4) Install the adapter harness connector to the transmission hanger.
Connect the following harness connectors.
^ Transmission harness connectors
^ Inhibitor harness connector
^ Transmission radio ground terminal
Tightening torque:
13 Nm (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)
5) Install the CVTF cooler pipe assembly to vehicle.
Tightening torque:
7.5 Nm (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
6) Install the A/C pipe to clip.
7) Install the battery cable bracket, and install the battery cable clip to the bracket.
Tightening torque:
7.5 Nm (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
8) Install the engine coolant reservoir tank.
9) Lift up the vehicle.
10) Install the CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.
NOTE:
Use new CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.
11) Install the CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose on radiator side.
NOTE:
Use new CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose.
12) Install the under cover.
13) Lower the vehicle.
14) Install the battery.
15) Adjust the CVTF level and check there is no leakage. Adjustments
