DISASSEMBLY





1. Remove thrust bearing race.
Reference value for race
Outside diameter: 29.4 mm (1.16 inch)
Inside diameter: 19.6 mm (0.77 inch)
Thickness: 0.8 mm (0.03 inch)
2. Remove thrust needle roller bearing
Reference value for bearing
Outside diameter: 70.8 mm (2.79 inch)
Inside diameter: 57.2 mm (2.25 inch)
Thickness: 2.7 mm (0.11 inch)
3. Remove rear planetary ring gear flange by removing snap ring.





4. Remove one-way clutch retainer with thrust needle roller bearing by removing snap ring.





INSPECTION
Visually check following parts for scratches or discoloration.
- Outer surface of one-way clutch roller.
- Inner surface of one-way clutch outer race.
- Inner surface of rear planetary ring gear subassembly.

ASSEMBLY





1. Set one-way clutch to one-way clutch outer race and rear planetary ring gear.

NOTE: Check to make sure that thinner section (A) of one-way clutch faces toward front side.





2. Install following parts, previously mentioned parts, one-way clutch retainer and thrust needle roller bearing.
3. Install snap ring.





4. Install rear planetary ring gear flange with snap ring.
5. Coat thrust bearing race and thrust needle roller bearing with A/T fluid.
6. Install them.
