Hood Removal And Installation

Removal

CAUTION: Cover the vehicle body with cloth to prevent any damage.

1. Disconnect washer hose (1).
2. Remove 4 hood hinge bolts (2) to detach hood (3).
3. Remove hood hinge, after removing front fender if necessary.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
- Apply sealant to contact face "A" of hood hinge.

"A": Sealant 99000-31110 (SUZUKI Bond No.1215)

- Adjust hood lock position if necessary.
- Tighten hood hinge bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Hood hinge bolt (a): 10 N.m (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)
