Rear Suspension Assembly InspectionInstallation and Linkage Parts
Hoist vehicle and check suspension components for the following defects. Repair or replace defective parts.
^ Excessive looseness and play in installation parts and linkage (especially when components are shaken in axial directions and the directions perpendicular to them)
^ Damage to suspension parts
Shock Absorbers
Hoist vehicle and check shock absorbers for the following defects. Repair or replace defective parts.
^ Damage to and oil leakage from shock absorbers
^ Damage to shock absorber installation parts
Rear Wheel Bearings
Raise vehicle and move each wheel in indicated directions by holding top and bottom of tire to check for following conditions. Replace rear wheel bearing(s) if any of these conditions is detected.
^ Excessive play in wheel bearing
^ Abnormal noise when wheel is turned
