Sun Roof Motor Initialization

CAUTION:
- Do not pinch any object during initialization of sun roof motor.
- Be sure to initialize sun roof motor (setting fully closed position of sun roof glass) when sun roof unit or sun roof motor is replaced, or power to sun roof motor is shut off. Auto operation including anti-pinching function cannot be performed without initialization of sun roof motor.

1. With ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON", press "TILT UP" side of sun roof switch to fully tilt up sun roof glass.
2. Keep pressing "TILT UP" side of sun roof switch for 2 or more seconds. Sun roof glass will tilt down a little and initialization of sun roof motor is completed.
3. Conduct auto tilt down/up and auto slide open/close to check that auto functions work normally. (Repeat from Step 1) if any auto function is faulty.)
4. Conduct anti-pinching function check.

Anti-Pinching Function Check

CAUTION: Roof may be deformed if hard material such as bare hammer handle is pinched.

1. Slide open the sun roof glass fully.
2. Place hammer handle wrapped with cloth close to fully closed position.







3. Conduct auto slide close of sun roof glass.
4. Check that sun roof glass reverses (open about 200 mm (7.87 in.)) automatically instead of pinching hammer handle.
If defect is found, replace sun roof motor.
