EVAP Canister Purge Valve Inspection

WARNING: Do not apply vacuum hose directly to your mouth; otherwise harmful fuel vapor may be breathed in.

CAUTION: Do not apply vacuum more than -67 kPa (-0.68 kgf/cm2, -9.71 psi, -0.67 bar); otherwise EVAP canister purge valve could be damaged.

1. With ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF", disconnect connector and vacuum hoses from EVAP canister purge valve.
2. Remove purge valve.

If faulty condition is found, replace purge valve.
a. Install special tool and vacuum hose (2) to purge valve (1).

Special Tool
(A): 09917-47011

b. Check that vacuum of -60 kPa (-0.6 kgf/cm2, -8.70 psi, -0.6 bar) can be applied to purge valve when 12 V battery is not connected to purge valve terminals.
c. Check that no vacuum can be applied to purge valve when 12 V battery is connected to purge valve terminals
