Rack Boot Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove front suspension frame.
2) Remove steering gear case.
3) Remove tie-rod end.
4) Remove boot clamp (1) and boot band (2) and remove rack boot (3) from steering gear case (4).





Installation
1) Apply grease to tie-rod "A" indicated in figure.
Position boot properly in grooves of gear case (or rack side mount) and tie-rod.
After this, check to ensure that boot is free from twist and dent.

"A": Grease 99000-25050 (SUZUKI Super Grease E)





2) Fasten new band (1) using special tool and install clip (2).

3) Install tie-rod end.
4) Install steering gear case assembly.
5) Install front suspension frame.
