Control Rod Removal and InstallationRemoval
1) Hoist vehicle and remove rear wheels.
2) Support lower arm with jack.
3) Put matchmark (3) across adjustment washer (1) and rear suspension frame (2).
4) Remove control rod lock nut (4), adjustment washer, control rod adjustment bolt (5), control rod nut (6) and control rod bolt (7).
5) Remove control rod (8).
Installation
1) Set control rod in position.
2) Insert control rod adjustment bolt (1) from the front side [A] of vehicle.
3) Install adjustment washer (2) with its graduated part facing up.
4) Insert control rod bolt (3) from the front side of vehicle and temporarily secure the bolt with new control rod nut (4) to specified torque.
CAUTION:
Control rod nut is pre-coated with friction stabilizer. Never reuse nut. Otherwise, nut may loosen.
5) Align matchmark (5) on adjustment washer and rear suspension frame, then tighten new control rod lock nut (6) temporarily.

Control rod lock nut is pre-coated with friction stabilizer. Never reuse lock nut. Otherwise, lock nut may loosen.
Tightening torque
Control rod nut (a): 75 Nm (7.6 kg-m, 55.5 lbf-ft)
6) Lower and remove jack from lower arm.
7) Install rear wheels and lower hoist.
8) With vehicle weight completely off the hoist, push vehicle to bounce it up and down several times to stabilize rear suspension.
9) Tighten control rod lock nut to specified torque with vehicle weight on suspension.
CAUTION:
^ Tighten control rod lock nut only after making sure that vehicle weight is off the hoist.
^ Tighten control rod lock nut to specified torque while aligning matchmark on adjustment washer and rear suspension frame.
Tightening torque
Control rod lock nut (b): 75 Nm (7.6 kg-m, 55.5 lbf-ft)
10) Check rear toe and camber.
