DTC Troubleshooting

NOTE:

- This flow shows "DTC B1511-L: Driver Side Temperature Control Actuator (Position Sensor) and/or Its Circuit Malfunction".
- Check "DTC B1512-L / B1515-L / B1530-L" in the same manner as "DTC B1511-L" referring to the following table.

1. Scan tool parameter check
Check "Air Mix Pos Sen (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
Is voltage below 0.1 V?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Intermittent trouble.
2. Driver side temperature control actuator position sensor signal circuit check
Disconnect driver side temperature control actuator connector.
Check "Air Mix Pos Sen (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
Is voltage below 0.1 V?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Replace driver side temperature control actuator. Temperature Control Actuator Removal and Installation
3. Driver side temperature control actuator position sensor signal circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Measure voltage between "RED/WHT" wire terminal of driver side temperature control actuator connector and ground.
Is voltage 5 V?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Go to Step 4.
4. Driver side temperature control actuator position sensor signal circuit check
Disconnect "G20" connector.
Check the following points.
Resistance of "RED/WHT" wire circuit: less than 1
Resistance of "RED/WHT" wire circuit between driver side temperature control actuator and ground: infinity
Are they in good condition?
YES
Replace HVAC control module and recheck DTC. HVAC Control Module Removal and Installation
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
5. Driver side temperature control actuator position sensor signal circuit check
Check that resistance between "GRY/RED" wire terminal and ground is infinity.
Is it in good condition?
YES
Replace HVAC control module and recheck DTC. HVAC Control Module Removal and Installation
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
