DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.

2. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check

Disconnect "G11" connector.
Check for proper connection to "G11-15" terminal.
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Measure voltage between "G11-15" terminal and ground.
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Is measured voltage 10 - 14 V?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Go to Step 4.

3. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check

Disconnect "G227" connector.
Check for proper connection to connector "G227".
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Measure voltage between "G11-15" terminal and ground.
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Is measured voltage 0 V?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Repair "BLK/BLU" circuit for short to power supply circuit.

4. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Measure voltage between "G227-18" terminal and ground.
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Is measured voltage 10 - 14 V?
YES -
Repair "BLK/BLU" circuit for open.
NO -
Go to Step 5.

5. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Measure voltage between "G227-12" terminal and ground.
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Is measured voltage 10 - 14 V?
YES -
Replace Auto A/C panel.
NO -
Repair "RED" circuit for open.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
, if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
