DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.

2. Driver air bag (inflator) module check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Check for proper connection to "G347" connector.
Disconnect "G347" connector.
Connect "STEERING WHEEL" harness (1) of special tools (A) and (B) to "G347" connector.
Special Tool

(A): 09932-77320

(B): 09932-75010





Check DTC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".

Is DTC B1031 or DTC B1035 detected?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Go to Step 4.

3. Instrument panel harness circuit check

Check for proper connection to "G11" connector.
Disconnect "G11" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Check the following points.
- Resistance of "A1" and "A2" circuit (DTC B1031): 1 ohms or less
- Resistance of "A3" and "A4" circuit (DTC B1035): 1 ohms or less
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Are they in good condition?
YES -
Replace SDM with new one. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Replace instrument panel harness.

4. Contact coil circuit check

Check contact coil circuit. Testing and Inspection

Is contact coil circuit in good condition?
YES -
Replace driver air bag (inflator) module. Removal and Installation
NO -
Replace contact coil assembly. Steering Wheel and Column Components

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
