DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.

2. Instrument panel harness circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "G347" and "G11" connectors.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Check the following points.
- Resistance between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground (DTC B1033): infinity
- Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground (DTC B1037): infinity
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace instrument panel harness.

3. Contact coil circuit check

Connect "G347" connector.
Remove driver air bag (inflator) module from steering column. Removal and Installation
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Check the following points.
- Resistance between each of "A1" and "A2" circuit and ground (DTC B1033): infinity
- Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuit and ground (DTC B1037): infinity
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Replace contact coil. (Contact Coil Removal and Installation):

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
