DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Passenger air bag (inflator) module circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "Q101" or "Q106" connector.
Disconnect "G11" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Check the following points.
- Resistance between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1043): infinity
- Resistance between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1047): infinity
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Go to Step 3.
3. Instrument panel harness circuit check
Disconnect "G363" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector using special tool (A).
Check the following points.
- Resistance between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1043): infinity
- Resistance between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1047): infinity
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Replace passenger air bag (inflator) module harness.
NO -
Replace instrument panel harness.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
