DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.

2. Passenger air bag (inflator) module circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "Q101" or "Q106" connector.
Disconnect "G11" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
- Voltage between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1044): 0 V
- Voltage between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1048): 0 V
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. Instrument panel harness circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "G363" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
- Voltage between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1044): 0 V
- Voltage between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1048): 0 V

Is each measured voltage 0 V?
YES -
Replace passenger air bag (inflator) module harness.
NO -
Replace instrument panel harness.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
