DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
2) Depress brake pedal fully for 3 seconds or more.
3) Release brake pedal.

DTC Troubleshooting

1. DTC check

Check DTC in ECM. ECM

Is DTC P0504 detected?
YES -
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.
NO -
Go to Step 2.

2. Brake light switch signal circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect brake light switch, "C01", "E01" and "L01" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to brake light switch, "C01", "E01" and "L01" connectors.
If connections are OK, check that resistance of "A1" circuit: less than 3 ohms

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
