DTC B1193

DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

Circuit Diagram

DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
2) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ACC".
3) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
4) Repeat Step 1) through 3) several times.

DTC Troubleshooting

NOTE:

This DTC might be detected when battery is run down or the voltage is very low.

1. IG2 relay power supply circuit (switch side) check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove IG2 relay.
Check that voltage between "A3" circuit terminal of IG2 relay connector and ground is battery voltage.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness and "IGN2" fuse.

2. Fuse check

Check "IG2 SIG" fuse.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. IG2 relay signal circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "L01" connector.
Check for proper terminal connection to "L01" connector.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
- Resistance between "B3" circuit and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "B3" circuit terminal and each terminal at IG2 relay connector: infinity

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Replace "IG2 SIG" fuse and keyless start control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness, and then replace "IG2 SIG" fuse.

4. IG2 relay signal circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "L01" connector.
Check for proper terminal connection to "L01" connector.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
- Resistance of "B3" circuit: less than 3 ohms
- Resistance between "B3" circuit terminal and each terminal at IG2 relay connector: infinity
- Voltage of "B3" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

5. IG2 relay power supply circuit (coil side) check

Check the following points.
- Resistance of "C3" circuit: less than 3 ohms
- Resistance between "C3" circuit and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "C3" circuit terminal and each terminal at IG2 relay connector: infinity
- Voltage of "C3" circuit: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 6.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

6. IG2 relay check

Check IG2 relay. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Replace IG2 relay.
