DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Lap pretensioner circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove center pillar lower trim of applicable side. Service and Repair
Disconnect "L284" or "L310" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L284" or "L310" connector.
Connect special tools (A), (B) and (C) to "L284" or "L310" connector disconnected in Step 3).
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
(B): 09932-75010
(C): 09932-78310
Check DTC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".
Is DTC B1341 or DTC B1345 detected?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace defective lap pretensioner. Removal and Installation
3. Lap pretensioner circuit resistance check
Disconnect special tools from applicable lap pretensioner connector.
Disconnect "L04" or "L05" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L04-7" and "L04-8" terminals (for DTC B1341) or "L05-19" and "L05-18" terminals (for DTC B1345).
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Check the following points.
- Resistance of "A1" and "A2" circuits (DTC B1341): 1 ohms or less
- Resistance of "A3" and "A4" circuits (DTC B1345): 1 ohms or less
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck resistance. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Repair open or high resistance wire in defective circuit.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
, if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
