DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.

2. Lap pretensioner circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove center pillar lower trim of applicable side. Service and Repair
Disconnect "L284" or "L310" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L284" or "L310" connector.
Connect special tools (A), (B) and (C) to "L284" or "L310" connector disconnected in Step 3).

(A): 09932-76010

(B): 09932-75010

(C): 09932-78310





Check DTC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".

Is DTC B1342 or DTC B1346 detected?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace defective lap pretensioner. Removal and Installation

3. Lap pretensioner circuit resistance check

Disconnect special tools from applicable lap pretensioner connector.
Disconnect "L04" or "L05" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L04-7" and "L04-8" terminals in (for DTC B1342) or "L05-19" and "L05-18" terminals (for DTC B1346).
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010

Check the following points.
- Resistance between "L04-7" and "L04-8" terminals (DTC B1342): infinity
- Resistance between "L05-19" and "L05-18" terminals (DTC B1346): infinity






Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO -
Repair shorted wire in defective circuit.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
, if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
