DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Start engine and operate A/C system.

DTC Troubleshooting

NOTE:

- This flow shows "DTC B1504-L: Driver Side Sunload Sensor and/or Its Circuit Malfunction".
- Check "DTC B1505-L" in the same manner as "DTC B1504-L" referring to the following table.





1. Scan tool parameter check

Apply light to sunload sensor vertically, holding incandescent light of approximately 100 W about 100 mm (3.94 in.) away from sunload sensor.
Check "Sun Load (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

Is it 0 W/m2?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Intermittent trouble.

2. Sunload sensor signal circuit check

Disconnect sunload sensor connector.
Connect "PNK" and "PNK/BLU" wire terminals of sunload sensor connector using service wire.
Check "Sun Load (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

Is it 0 W/m2?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace sunload sensor. Sunload Sensor Removal and Installation

3. Sunload sensor signal circuit check

Connect "PNK" and "PNK/BLU" wire terminals of "G20" connector using service wire.
Check "Sun Load (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

Is it 0 W/m2?
YES -
Replace HVAC control module and recheck DTC. HVAC Control Module Removal and Installation
NO -
"PNK" wire open or short to ground, or "PNK/BLU" wire open.
