DTC Troubleshooting

NOTE:

Detection of both DTC C1024 and C1075 means internal malfunction of steering angle sensor. Replace steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation

Was "ESP(R) System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. DTC check

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is DTC U0073 and/or U0126 detected?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3.
Are both DTC C1024 and C1075 detected?
YES -
Replace steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation
NO -
Go to Step 4.

4. Steering angle sensor on-vehicle inspection

Check steering angle sensor. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Replace steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation

5. Steering angle sensor inspection

Check steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module and recheck DTC. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
NO -
Replace steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation
