DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "ESP(R) System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. ESP(R) OFF switch check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove ESP(R) OFF switch. ESP OFF Switch Removal and Installation
Check each terminal of ESP(R) OFF switch for proper connection.
If connection are OK, check ESP(R) OFF switch. ESP OFF Switch Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace ESP(R) OFF switch.

3. ESP(R) OFF switch circuit check

Disconnect "E09" connector.
Check for proper connection to "E09-30" terminal.
If connection is OK, check resistance between "E09-30" terminal and ground.

Is resistance infinite?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module and recheck DTC. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
NO -
"GRY" wire circuit is shorted to ground.
