DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "ESP(R) System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. DTC check

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is any DTC(s) detected other than C1038?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Replace steering angle sensor and recheck DTC. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module if DTC C1038 is still detected. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
