DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area






DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "ESP(R) System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. DTC check

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is there DTC(s) other than C1084, C1085 or C1097?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. DTC check for P/S system

Check DTC for P/S control module.

Is there DTC(s) other than C1084, C1085 or C1097?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Substitute a known-good P/S control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module if DTC is still detected. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
