DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check
performed?
YES -
Go to step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. DTC check

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is there DTC(s) other than C1093?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. DTC check for 4WD system

Check DTC for 4WD control module.

Is any DTC(s) detected?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck DTC.
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module if DTC C1093 is still detected. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
