Circuit Diagram

DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
2) Keep brake pedal at depressed position for 3 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. Brake light switch check

Check brake light switch. Brake Light Switch Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace brake light switch.

3. Brake light switch power supply circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect brake light switch connector.
Check for proper terminal connection to brake light switch connector.
If connections are OK, check that voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground is battery voltage with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

4. Brake light switch signal circuit check

Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C01" and "E01" connectors.
If connections are OK, check that brake light switch signal circuit (B1 and B2) is as follows.
- Resistance of "B1" and "B2" circuits: less than 1 ohms
- Resistance between each of "B1" and "B2" circuits and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "B1" circuit terminal and other terminal at brake light switch connector: infinity
- Resistance between "B2" circuit terminal and other terminal at brake light switch connector: infinity

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
