DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "CVT System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to CVT System Check CVT System Check.
2. DTC check
Check DTC related to CAN communication.
Is there any CAN-DTC(s) detected?
YES -
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.
NO -
Go to Step 3.
3. DTC check of BCM
Check DTC of BCM. DTC Check
Is there any DTC(s)?
YES -
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.
NO -
Go to Step 4.
4. Shift switch circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check that following items are normal condition by using SUZUKI scan tool, when shifting select lever ("P", "R", "N", "D") to each range. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
- Shift Down SW
- Shift Up SW
- Manual Mode SW
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Check for intermittent trouble. Intermittent Connection and Poor Contact Inspection
NO -
Go to Step 5.
5. Manual mode shift switch circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "E19", "E20" and "G102" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
- Resistance between each of "A1", "A2" and "A3" circuits and ground: infinity
- Resistance between each of "A1", "A2" and "A3" circuit terminals and each terminal at "G102" connector: infinity
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
NO -
Go to Step 4.
6. Manual mode shift switch check
Check manual mode shift switch. Manual Mode Shift Switch Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Replace manual mode shift switch (select lever assembly). Select Lever Assembly Removal and Installation
